Remembrance 2018

The SAWTRY and DISTRICT BRANCH of the ROYAL BRITISH LEGION, encompasses the surrounding villages of GLATTON, the GIDDINGS, WINWICK, HAMERTON, COPPINGFORD, WOODWALTON, CONINGTON and HOLME.

Poppy Appeal Donations are collected via, House to House, Street, Commercial, Industrial,  Public Houses and Churches, etc.

There were two House to House collectors covering  Glatton and a Donation Box in the Addison Arms Public House.  The total collected over this Centenary Remembrancetide fortnight from the District, ie, all villages was £9,940-93.  Glattons donation contribution was £524-98.  The collectors for Glatton and the Royal British Legion thank all who made donations to their collection boxes and we are sure that others made donations elsewhere, when out and about.
