Litter Pick 2019

Today (Saturday 19th October) 16 residents from Glatton donned their fluorescent jackets, picked up their litter pickers and set off round the village gathering litter.
Ninety minutes later they returned to the village hall with their respective collections of litter and received a bacon roll and warming cuppa as reward.

From within the village we gathered:

  • 15 sacks full of rubbish
  • 2 lengths of pipe
  • 4 used tyres
  • 1 traffic bollard!

Thank you Paul Williams for arranging the loan of the picking kit from the council and to Terry and Jane Brignall for organising the post event refreshments.
But most of all THANK YOU to the volunteers who turned out to take part.
