Glatton celebrated a harvest theme of ‘Safely Gathered In‘ at the harvest service in St. Nicholas church. Colourful displays of fruit, flowers and vegetable, plus a trolley full of food bank items, delighted the congregation and visitors
After the service people feasted on homemade salads, jacket potatoes and cold meats, followed by delicious homemade puddings. The produce was auctioned after the meal. A total of £936.50, (£239 from the auction) was raised. Proceed from this will be sent to ‘Our Father’s House‘, which is a Brazilian charity for street children and the Indonesian earthquake fund.
